If someone asks who is the third baseman, second baseman, first baseman or centerfielder for St. Louis, I want to be able to answer one name at each position. I don't want to say Wong or Gyorko or Garcia or Peralta. And Carp needs to have only one glove at the stadium. Figure it out this winter. Utility men should come off the bench, not from your starting lineup.

Turner, Diaz, Wong, and Carp is my infield.

Carpenter at third, Diaz, Wong/Gyorko, Molina at first and Kelly behind the plate.

Joe Maddon disagrees.

You are smarter than this WS nonsense.

It's not like he magically is a great manager if the Cubs win a WS in 10 days and not if they don't.

You take everything so literally and so seriously. You are the least fun human being on the planet. The point was Maddon is not a god. And Bryant and Carp are not the same player/athlete. Get out of your moms basement and go get an alcoholic beverage.

Try this. Watch the Cardinals closely and form your opinion based on what you see with your own two eyes without having to have some nerd tell you how many times someone's slider spins or what someone's WAR is. You will find that it's pretty fun and relaxing. And you don't have to be a douchey nerd to enjoy it and be knowledgeable. FYI, I typed this at 104.8 mph.

The Cards are so far behind the cubs right now it is strange. Cubs are better in every
position but Catcher and right field. Starting pitching cubs are better, bull pen cubs
are better, closer cubs are better although cards decent. Managing cubs are better,
ownership not even close here cubs much more committed to winning cards
ownership only care about getting their 3 million fans.

The Cubs executed on tanking as well as anyone and a lot of their bets on cast offs like arrieta worked well. Credit to them. remember they were terrible for a few years to make this happen. Can't get a kris Bryant unless you are horrible. They had a plan to be bad then good and it worked. Cards have to keep on a different track.

Correct Neuty. The Cubs tanked for several years to get where they are now. It's been along time since the Birds have been in the tank.I hope this winter they close the gap with the Cubs

Joe Maddon has never won a WS.
You have to admit If you are truly knowledgeable of this team that Carp is better if you leave him in one spot.

That should solve the first issue.

I really don't think that about Marp. He's average at all the spots he has played. And it doesn't seem to have an effect on him at the plate. And if he's going to play one spot, that probably means either Moss/Adams or Gyorko will be moved. I could be WAY off...but I think what we say last year is very similar to what we'll see next year.
