Once again this year, it looks like Notre Dame's ranking...

How many years will they stick us with either an over rated ND or over rated Ohio State in the play off? Truly sickening.

Four of Clemson's regular season opponents played them closer than this.

Number 13 for Oklahoma made a business decision just now on that last touchdown lol

Notre Dame (12-1), which won its last national title in 1988, has lost eight consecutive times when playing in bowls that make up the New Year’s Six games — or the former BCS national championship. All but one of those has been by double digits, including a four-touchdown loss to Alabama in the title game nearly six years ago.

They last won a major bowl in 1993.

That was the last year cheers was on tv.

Ouch

Heck ku and Mizzou have won major bowls since then.

While I don't disagree, you do realize that this is the 5th year of the CFP. Ohio State has only been selected to be in 2 of the 5 (winning 1 of them). And this is the first time ND has been selected.

ND and OU both belonged but in a larger format. I think ND belonged just like UCF did because they were undefeated. Bama would make most teams look like they made OU look.

Except they didn't.
Saban made it look better when they kneeled the ball at the goal line after ou quit

I considered the BCS championship game, a playoff game. Both those teams have been placed in that game and the new playoff format and been thrashed. Additionally ND has been in major bowls based on mediocre resumes forever. And OSU has also been over rated most of my lifetime be it Archie Griffin ridiculously winning the Heisman over a deserving Rickey Bell or going out to the Rose Bowl to get beat by under rated Pac 8/12 teams 5 times in the 70s and 80s.

I wrote a retort, but I figured its pointless! To each his own....

Notre Dame played Michigan, FSU, Stanford,Northwestern, USC and the mighty SECs #6 Vandy. They don't play a bad schedule..Logic of undefeated major school not being allowed in is crazy. Win and your in, they did. Sooner or later the bubble will burst, the leprechauns golden pot will spill over and the Golden Domers will win again..

None of those teams were impressive.
Florida destroyed um.
Vandy has a shot at the end to win in south bend.

GULP ... we’ve agreed on something. A sign of the apocalypse?

just take your best sec team vs best acc team and call it good

98% of the time you’ll end up with the best matchup

Just curious which you would rather have. ND's major bowl losses or your team in a lower tier bowl game and be like 500. Also which one of these would you rather have. A comsistent top 15 recruiting class every year and gettingto major bowl games or a top 50 recruiting class and getting to a low tier bowl

They dont deserve better bowls and their record shows it.
Join a conference and quit being greedy or scared

If they have top 15 recruiting how come they can’t win anything?

Just answer this question for me. Its a simple yes or no one. Who had the better strength of schedule rating. ND or Alabama? By your past post I wont expect an answer on this either from you
Who did they beat?
Answer that.
Do you honestly think that nd is in the same conversation as bama?
Lay off the stuff

If many sec teams had nd schedule theyd be undefeated as well.

Nope i dont. Along with about 126 other D1 programs that arent in the same conversation. So that being said, why even have a playoff system. But how can any team have a higher strength of schedule than another team, go undefeated and not have beaten anyone?

Sagarin has bama schedule at 23
Notre lame at 30

Next.

Post your link please. Btw Alabama is one if my favorite teams for 40 years. So tell me what is your way of selecting the top four teams?

Ok. Lets go by this link. Looks like ND was higher than Clemson by 10. Looks like ND was 1-0 against top 10 teams going into the playoffs. Clemson was 0-0. They were both 3-0 going into the playoffs. So that being said who did clemson beat? Since your so big on saying ND not beating anyone and they beat more top 10 teams than clemson did. Btw. Oklahoma didnt beat a top ten team either and was 2-0 against top 30

So ill ask again. Please enlighten us all on your sure fire way of picking the top 4 teams

Espn fpi is a solid measure.
Take away the cult followers impact on the decision and just put the best teams in there.
Uga and buckeye deserved that spot before nd and ou

Im going by your "who did someone beat". Please tell me what team did georgia beat that was so impressive?
By your link they were 0-1 against top 10 teams btw

Fla by 20
Auburn by 17
Vandy by 30
Mizzou by 14

Ya thats a better resume than nd

Your premise was flawed so just admit you were misinformed and move on
