Geez. That was the norm back in the day. I remember getting grabbed by the facemask and dog-cussed by my coaches. It made me have thicker skin.

I coached varsity football for 28 years and I strongly believe you are to set an example as a coach to handle situations without using profanity and you never ever grab a kid. Where I coached if you grabbed a kid you would be fired on the spot. I was the head defensive coach for 18 years at one school and our head coach demanded no coaches are players use profanity and he held us to a high standard. I never had success prowl beating kids they kind of think of you as you can't coach in a firm and motivating way without acting like a nut.

The quotes from the kid killed me haha while I'm sure all those things happened and the coach should've been let go on the spot I have a feeling some play time was involved on this just by reading the kids comments
