Between June 17th and June 24th they experienced 35 earthquakes magnitude 3.0 or greater. The rise in quakes since 2009 is becoming more of a concern all the thime. Prior to 2009 they had only one or two quakes per year 3.0 or greater. Oil and gas regulators are taking a hard look at fracking in the state trying to decide what to do about the problem. The only link I have for ya cow is that the story from Reuters is on the MSN page on my puter.

Earth quakes suck. Are all the earth quakes caused from fracking ?

A better question, are any?
When you go from 2 a year to 35 in a few days I'd say it's pretty strong possibility that fracking has something to do with it. It is the thing that has changed since 2009 and Oklahoma isn't the only place that seismic activity has picked up since fracking began in the area.

I don't doubt the increase, but I don't hardly see how drilling at the depth fraq fields are at it could cause it. Big difference between normal drilling and fraq technology is the long horizontal runs and the high pressure created by pumping the slurry in. One of those things hard to prove but something is going on
