Obama's speech was not a surprise. He's well-spoken and it was a better speech than when he is in front of a crowd. He doesn't have to wait for applause or look smug and arrogant. He is naturally gifted in this way. He is really really good at delivering a speech, and he's also extraordinarily dishonest.

Obama is an incredibly divisive President that has always been politically radical but good at smoothing over the rhetoric. And the media just loved the guy. The media just slobber over him. This has not waned one bit. He has preached terrible words at John Lewis's funeral and pushed for gun control at the Arizona shooting memorial, so no big surprise.

I don't have a problem with Obama being politically partisan or attacking Trump. What I don't like is how the media portrays him as a unifying non-partisan figure and that he believes in the Constitution when he obviously does not.

The attempt to paint Barack Obama as a great unifying figure is belied by every poll on racial matters since the year 2008.

Prior to this time, people were far more optimistic about racial matters in the US before he entered office in 2008 than when he left office in 2016. There are reasons for this fact.

Not only that Obama has been characterized by an incredible ability to double talk the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States.

Barack Obama is smart enough to understand the principles undergirding the Constitution and DOI, are natural rights that pre-exist government. It is a limited government only instituted to protect those rights with checks and balances to prevent the government from overstepping those boundaries in violation of those rights.

He knows this and just like every progressive since Woodrow Wilson he dislikes this.

He doesn't believe that natural rights pre-exist government and Obama believes rights come from our government.

Just like entitlements come from government. Obama believes in an unlimited government ought to give you things. He doesn't believe in checks and balances he believes in whatever gets the job done.

That's why you have a pen and a phone Obama, Daca Obama, the war in Libya without congressional authorization Obama.

But the greatest skill he has to pretend he's speaking in the name of documents that he absolutely abhors.

He doesn't like the limitations of our Government has to bring us all together. In 2012 at the DNC Convention the scoreboard read "Government is the only thing we share".

But yet Obama gives a speech in front of a display of the constitution at the museum of the American Revolution. Speaking about all the ideals of the United States while actually ignoring the ideals set forth in the Constitution of the United States, basically claiming what our system is a Democracy writ large.

Yes, the Constitution is pro-people voting, but it is not a pure Democracy. It's a Republican document that embodies all sorts of Checks and Balances specifically because the founders did not want mob rule.

But Obama reduced all of the founding documents down to the people vote. No, he left out some pretty key elements and that of course is the point. It's the idea that people can vote and we can realize our highest ideals is wrong. He's said those highest ideals are completely are malleable over time. Obama routinely overran the boundaries of the constitution.

In reality, the founding ideals lead to women voting, African Americans voting, all people acquiring property. The founding ideals are not simply all people who vote.

It is all people are created in the image of God, endowed by their creator certain unalienable rights. The problem is that those rights embody a few things Obama doesn't agree with. Don't tread on me is something Obama doesn't believe in. This is a total perversion of American philosophy.

Obama often said Liberty doesn't have the same meaning for everybody. Like all progressives, he's a walking reductive version of what the Government ought to be.

His basic point in his speech was that he stands for Democracy and Donald Trump is not for a Democracy. Giving this speech as he stands in front of a display of the constitution when he knows full well the display doesn't mean what he means. That's Barack Obama.

Joe Biden is the savior of this country. Bahahaha
Barack Obama is an old hack and a gifted liar. He has no principles and can't define them. He disdains social institutions in favor of government institutions. This is not unique to BO, this a hallmark of the progressive movement since the beginning of the 20th Century.
(If you listened to his speech) American principles? Please. Science and facts. Please.
American principles are science and fact, men and women don't exist, babies in the womb are a collection of cells.

Obama said Troops are political props by focusing in on the Lafayette Park incident in where the national park service cleared the park for a photo op at St. Johns Church.

It's unclear whether the protestors were throwing objects at the cops. The hypocrisy of BO is rich.

BO went in front of a group of troops and said "you guys make a great photo op". This is something he said and did in real life, but last night he said I wouldn't use troops as political props. Big fat lie.

He said he simply could not avoid the implementation of immigration law, but went ahead and did it anyway.

He sicked the IRS on conservatives 501 C3 but had plausible deniability. He is now calling for the end of the Senate Filibuster and calls it racist when 5 minutes ago he called it a tool for Democracy.

Barack Obama has no fidelity to institutional norms if they stand in the way of his broader progressive mission. But the Trump administration is going tear down Democracy. Hilarious.
