Obama

Haha I would love to see Biden run for the entertainment value. Could he ever win the nomination? No, I think the party is smarter than that.

i think he is the second most likely nominee. If Hillary implodes, they aren't going to rally around Bernie.

They should, Biden will stick his foot in his mouth way too often

Yet he is still the only high profile government official to get it right when he said Iraq should be broken up into 3 separate countries. That would have resolved many of the issues we have there today. He has to back track on a few things he's said but he spoke the truth in most cases, and he is far from being stupid. He was one who was pretty successful at working deals across the aisle during his time in the senate.

Well said. Especially the Iraq part.

The man is a accident waiting to happen. Kid yourselves into thinking he's not. It is proven.

And once again Duck,

I have NEVER watched Fox news.

I thave doubts about his intelligence. But I think he's been a voice in the administration that understands congress - something they needed badly. And he was prescient on Iraq and gay marriage.

And he may be too old. I think even Hillary is pushing it here.

I'm ok that he's not running.

He isn't a Rhodes scholar, but he isn't dumb. I think it's easy to say he won both Veep debates. 2 different opponents. 2 completely different strategies. Paul Ryan isn't dumb. He is in the top of the Republican field for sure. His age is an issue. Same for Sanders. You are correct about Hillary. There is a problem in the Democrats. There are no rising stars, like a Rubio or Ryan.

Ryan is a star? Why? Because he is tall, dark, and wants to cut the shat out of programs that secure life for senior citizens? I think "star" may be a tad overused.

Well talk about the pot calling the kettle black Biden has not mentioned he is running and you are bashing him. On the other hand the Pubs offer us Trump and he leads in many polls.

Explain how he is a derelict.

Webster defines derelict as ," negligent, someone abandoned as worthless"

That is probably a little harsh for old Joe, the D words were coming out fast and that probably should not have made the list.

I will rescind my derelict comment, since you agree with the rest. :D

I agree, although some of it is having the Presidency. Less room for rising stars. Look at who the Rs nominated in 2008 - a 70 something who ran against Bush in 2000. The Ds nominated the sitting VP in 2000. Rs nominated the sitting VP in 1988. Etc.

Ds need someone to break through. Reid's retirement hopefully opens a slot for someone, but that leadership group under him isn't young, either (Schumer is supposedly the next Dem leader in the Senate)

I think Paul Ryan is smart enough to be President.

Ryan advocates for positions I don't want, but he's at least honest about what that would take. He lays out in stark detail what it would take to cut taxes by 2%-3% of GDP. He lays out the screwjob that would happen to the young and middle aged from ending Medicare.

I don't agree with him, but at least he's not lying to America about being a "fiscal conservative" whose goal is to deficit spend. He is honest about what it means to cut taxes and the government. And, he generally lays it out in a coherent fashion - his proposals are generally things you could implement (or, at least implement with some tweaks.)

I also think he's someone you can do business with - look at the Ryan/Murray budget deal. He has no problem sitting down and negotiating to get a deal that is better overall for the country/his beliefs than someone like Ted Cruz.

Spoken like a true Republican. Not exactly the free thinking independent you were portraying yesterday.

I am a free thinking independent, and I think most democrat politicians are dimwits. I might not be correct, but I am free to have that opinion.
