NYC stats

just how low the death count is compared to statewide. I had disassociated NYC and New York state. I guess that's the news coverage for you. ... also, how high the "probable covid death count" is.

Thousands of people have died. Thousands of others have gotten very sick and recovered. But who knows what long term organ damage they may have.

And what is your focus? Finding statistics to desperately help justify some political point.
Go volunteer at a food bank or something.
I have.

A fair amount of the NY deaths are in Westchester and on Long Island...places in the NYC metro area that technically aren't a part of NYC.

Probable is because they just haven't tested many people who died outside of the hospital. If anything, 15k is probably too low an estimate of total NYC deaths based upon an excess deaths analysis.

Deaths in Massachusetts in March were 529 people higher than in the average of the previous 20 years.

Only 89 deaths in March were officially attributed to coronavirus; this is likely evidence the real number is much higher than that.

How many more states have this same situation?
Or it petered out? What are the flu stats during the same time?
