NWCMO Playoff Challenge rules refresher (with a couple of 2016 changes)

The regular (exhibition) season is over now on to first the district rounds then the ones everyone guns for (state quarters, semis and titles). This year will be very similar to the past three with the exception that eliminations will parallel the state playoffs i.e. EIGHT advance to the quarterfinal round, FOUR to the semifinal round and just TWO to the the final round (with an 8-man and C6 twist thanks to MSHSAA).

The district round is scored the same as the regular season except there are no "weekly" winners just cumulative points with the same 30-point bonus/deduction rule AND the 3-point rule (gain 3 points if only one to pick a winner and lose 3 points if the opposite occurs) in effect. The top eight in points (there is, like Week 9, a tiebreak for the district final round) advance to the C1-5 quarterfinal and 8M-C6 semifinal round.

Just like the past three years each state playoff round will include all games in the region WITH pointspreads generated by yours truly. Once we reach that stage I will post an annual reminder of how that works...........................

Not my place, but I think in the past you have tried 'blind' picks via e-mail. With the new site set-up you could consider PM to you for picks. This way, it would counter anyone waiting until the final minute to place their picks based upon what others before them have done. Just a thought.
