Here is a quick reminder of how the pointspreads work (this, as stated many times the past four years, is designed to allow us to include all games in the region): Pick the team you think will COVER the spread NOT necessarily win outright. The bonus/deduction applies at the same 30-point level. Here is an example: TEAM A - 8 - Team B. This means Team A is the home team and favored by 8 points over Team B. Let's say the final score is Team A 14, Team B 7. All players who select Team B win. Now let's say the final score is Team B 26, Team A 3. All who selected Team B win BUT also gain the bonus/deduction because Team B covered by over 30 (31). As the contest progresses all are free to inquire about results................
NOW on to the games and spreads. Seven games will contest Friday and three on Saturday:
Friday:
WORTH COUNTY - 26 - North Andrew
Sedalia Sacred Heart - 25 - KING CITY
Princeton - 8 - EAST BUCHANAN
Lafayette County - 34 - HOLDEN
Webb City - 24 - HARRISONVILLE
Platte County - 16 - MOBERLY
Staley - 18 - FORT OSAGE
Saturday:
BLUE SPRINGS - Pick - Park Hill (this is a straight-up pick with no pointspread)
LOCKWOOD - 3 - Lincoln
MARYVILLE - 5 - Center
TIEBREAK: Total points for the TWO listed Class 4 games.
All scores from the district rounds are gone so all eight surviving players start at zero. All picks are due by 7 PM FRIDAY. FOUR will advance from this round to the C1-5 semifinals, 8M-C6 championship one. GOOD LUCK and congrats on making it this far!
