Honestly, as one who has direct relatives at Staley, I am real real partisan this year but never meant to show any disrespect toward Carthage. Frankly that game was an exhibition why MSHSAA needs to reassess classification enrollment cutoffs.

I don't really think it matters where you split the classes. Staley had 160 kids out for football. Carthage had 98. Springfield Central had about 35. All 3 schools are at 1500 kids +/- 10%. Carthage plays Nixa every year and probably wins that game 2/3 of the time. Meanwhile, Webb City is the 2nd smallest school in the COC and has 9 out of the last 10 conference championships.
