This is a little dramatic, but, in essence, true. Their lies are more of the "lie by omission" variety. Not exactly directly telling lies, but certainly being deceptive, particularly with their editing, for a purpose. I would further argue that every news writer who ever put pen to paper or fingers to typewriter/keyboard makes rhetorical choices to either fit a narrative or create a narrative. Every single word is a conscious choice, and I don't think many people truly realize that. This is not just true in news, but also in general.

Yes, and in 2005, and CBS acknowledged the mistake and fired people over it.

I appreciate that 60 Minutes will go after corporations, and air other news stories that expose wrongdoing, and even the biographies of interesting people. In fact, very few of their stories have to do with American politics. They spend big money producing the show, and do it right.

Same ol', same ol' crying about the left media. It's a great nonpartisan show that I rarely miss!!

They was heavily criticized over an NSA piece, a Jeff Bezos piece and had to apologize on a Benghazi piece. Have you seen the Australian version? It gets pretty interesting.

53 years on the air and you have to dig hard to find even a couple questionable stories.
