Mass shootings were reduced during the assault weapons ban. The NRA paid the GOP to let it expire so they could make a boatload of cash selling death instruments. Mass shootings have increased ever since.
That tweet was an absolutely accurate depiction of why we are in this mess. Instead of adjusting the assault weapons ban to including all the tricks manufacturers were using to get around it, the GOP just let it expire. Look at the damn millions those senators were raking in. You have to be brain damaged to not see it or evil to not admit it.
