I thought Izzy retired! At least Matheny went and got Rosie before he gave up a bomb after the walks. His control was sooo good last year, but now?????

Siegrist down, CMart up. Hopefully CMart has his mojo (and control) back. Be nice to see him be able to handle the 8th and let Neshek close, at least for a few games while Rosie does whatever he needs to do to get right. Hard to consistently close games with a WHIP nearing 1.5. No matter what Matheneging says, I think Rosie gets a break from the closer's role for a few days. My pulse rate could sure use it!

Caught "Miked Up" after the game yesterday. He was asked about the closer situation, and immediately bit the reporter's head off. Said Rosie was still the closer and would remain that way. Then almost as quick as he said that, said that he would be rested more down the stretch and that others would get a shot in the games he needed a rest. That's solid Matheneging. Burn your closer early in the year (although, I don't really think that's Rosie's problem) and need to rest him late...Heck, at least he had the common sense to lift him Sunday. Nevermind it was two batters too late.
