Nobody posts on girls wrestling, so congrats....

What a time to be alive.
Kearney football can’t make the playoffs for the 6th year in a row so Joeys pulling girls wrestling on to the board. A sport where I’m guessing not even half of MSHSAA member schools participate. Bahaha

Lol…can’t make the playoffs? They were 10-1, beat the #2 team in class 5 and semifinalist in class 4. And they won state in track beating West Plains. How many titles does WP have in any sport? Bahaha

Yes, that’s correct Joey, they haven’t made it out of their district in each of the last 6 seasons. But hey, at least they can run fast.

Maybe Minnick should recruit some of these girls to help them get out of districts

There will be no need to recruit anyone this upcoming season. After they drop another state title in track this Spring, then, almost all back from last year. How many Smithville or Center have coming back? Bahaaha

Offense will be very dynamic. Concern will be the other side of the ball in my opinion. How many returnees, at this way early point, does KTown have this fall?

Don't care who returns (look at the numbers and quality of athletes next time you go to one of their games) Smithville is a very well entrenched Championship program. This past fall beyond proved that!

Whatchu talkin' bout Willis? They have 7 starters back on D. Five of them were all-conference: 2 LBs, 3 DL. And at least two Dbs that have been all-state in track multiple times. They lose no speed in the backfield, despite losing Noland. You have 8 back on Offense. Lights out.

Good numbers back we shall see. Fingers crossed the D is more "lock down" than last season. If the schedule simply flipped another unbeaten regular season could easily happen given all the losses PC, Smithville and Fort will incur this May. Still advise to keep Smithville on everyone's radar come playoff time. This assuming Kearney stays in C4 which I gather is likely at this point.

As Freshman, this year's graduating class lost 21-0 to Smithville.

Not the case for the next two classes. Next years juniors beat SV 30-0 as Frosh. This is the wave I mentioned about four years ago. You have seen what they have done as underclassmen, now comes prime time. Essentially, the same team that beat this year's SV team in the regular season is almost all back. Not so for anyone else in the conference.

The turbo clocks will be even more boring this coming year.
