The Buffalo Bison football program has fallen on hard times in
recent years. For the third time in three seasons the Bison will have a
new head coach at the helm hoping to turn around the fortunes of a program that
enters the season with a 13 game losing streak.

Just a season ago Ed Hula stepped down just days before the
start of the season. Hula led the program for five seasons compiling a
12-38 record during that time. With the resignation of Hula, veteran Boone
Middleton stepped in to fill the void.

Middleton, a football coaching veteran and pastor at Golden
Avenue Baptist Church guided the Bison for the rest of the 2010 season finishing
with an 0-10 mark. The Bison were outscored 519-98, finishing 0-6 in the
Central Ozarks Conference.

The task of turning around the struggling Bison football
program now belongs to Jeff Stone. "I told the kids in a
meeting today that I'm not concerned about what happened in the past", Stone
commented to the Marshfield Mail. "I don't want to hear about those
problems. I want to start a clean slate."

A 2000 Marshfield graduate, Stone has recently served as the
defensive coordinator at Willard High School for the past two years.
Following high school Stone played quarterback three seasons at Avila University
in Kansas City.

The Bison open their season on August 26 when they post Fair
Grove.
