If you haven't had the chance to see Jefferson City running
back

Kody Walker
play live, you are missing something special.? Walker, the
No. 5 prospect in the Rivals.com Pre-Season Missouri top twenty rankings
presents a unique blend of size, strength, speed, and power the propels the Jays
offense.

Rivals.com analyst Jeremy Crabtree wrote of Walker following
the Midwest Elite Combine, "Walker is the type of big, strong back that is
better when he's got the ball in his hands running the ball than he is going
through passing drills. However, he did a great job with ball protection,
blocking drills and he also did show some good moves in the open field against
linebackers. With offers from Arkansas, Minnesota, Tulsa and Missouri, Walker
could fit into a number of different types of offenses and he showed that with
his performance on Saturday."

?Walker stands 6-foot-1 inches, weighs 230-pounds, and
has timed at 4.7 seconds in the 40-yard dash.? A versatile athlete who
starts for the Jay football team he looks to be a solid full back prospect at
the next level.

Walker is one of the few remaining uncommitted prospects in
the Missouri Top 20.? Recent visits to Missouri and Arkansas will be his
last as he firms up his decision.? "At Missouri, I know a lot of the
players," Walker commented to Pete Scantlebury of Powermizzou.com. "There's a
couple of guys from JC, and they've told me how good of a school it is. Their
strength program is a big plus. "The negative is, it's a little close to home."
"As for Arkansas, it's not too far, and it's a good school with a good program.
I'd have some new surroundings."

With Walker and other top returning starters the Jays will
open their season ranked among the top five teams in Class 6.? Where the
Jays finish this season and where Walker will attend school a year from now each
remain squarely on the talented back's shoulders!
