No. 4 Reeds Spring 27, No. 10 Bolivar 50 Final

The loss didn’t hurt Reeds Spring’s district seeding as the Wolves will be the No. 1 seed. Bolivar bumped up to the No. 3 seed in its district.

Was a matter of the Wolves getting close and not quite being able to finish the deal. Led by a touchdown late and still by one with just over 5 to go. Then it was a snowball of Bolivar capitalizing on RS mistakes and keeping the hammer down to get to 50. Three TDs and going for two everytime got them there. Looked good most of the night but for folks who only see the score they have no idea how closed the streak was to ending. Congrats to Bolivar. I do think you are one off on the streak. It's 13 not 14 I think.

14 is just what a couple of Bolivar fans have been telling me (could be way off and I wouldn't know any better); its long enough, that's for sure...

Let me clarify. Reeds came to play and there is no doubt about that but Bolivar moved the ball all night but, turned it over four times in the first three quarters. Two fumbles to give Reeds a short field and a fumble after a pass interception that had put Bolivar on the Reeds 20 yard line. Then an interception. Reeds capitals zed on all. Then Bolster var did not turn the ball over again and scored on every drive and sacked the QB causing a fumble deep in Reeds territory which was returned for a touchdown. When Reeds was up 27-20 Bolivar had almost twice the offensive output. Turnovers kept it close and turnovers helped Bolivar pull away. I for one hope the proposed conference change doesn't eliminate this game. It was a great game and the Reeds fans are the only fans in the Small COC other than Bolivar that travel well. It was a great atmosphere. Wish them the best of luck!

To clarify. He is right about moving the ball and having an advantage in stats but most of that was second half especially fourth quarter. Numbers at the half were close with the Wolves having the slight edge
