He can pick it in the dirt as well as anybody around and I don't know how many doubles down the line he's taken away. Some nerd might be telling you he ain't very good but I heard the announcers one night saying his metrics are even good.

Pujols was a terrible 1B by the time he left St. Louis. Nearly the worst in all of baseball by most statistical measures. His injuries limited his mobility.

But his ego wouldn't let him not chase grounders literally right at the second baseman. His last couple of years, it drove me nuts watching him do that.

I didn't say it was good but he DIES have range. Pujols was considered a good 1st baseman for a long time. Adams is pretty dang good there and you guys surely know it.
