THE OZARKS
Nixa is tired of losing their own tournament so this year they have switched to pool play rather than that the traditional tournament bracket.

And they have definitely ensured that WP & Republic are more likely to lose in pool play based on the matchups that I’m sure were “randomly” selected LOL

First Pool:
Class 5 #3 West Plains(10-3)
Class 6 #3 Republic(12-2)
Class 6 #7 Park Hill South(9-3)

(PHS only losses are to Class 4 #1 Vashon, Class 6 #1 Incarnate Word & Class 6 #2 Truman)

Second Pool:
Class 6 #6 Nixa (11-2)
Class 5 #5 Notre Dame Cape (9-0)
Class 1 Norfork(AR) (17-3)

Now don’t get me wrong, Notre Dame and Norfork(AR)(17-3) are good programs, but you’re not going to convince me that Nixa didn’t just take the two lowest rated teams in the tournament and stick them in their teams pool.

Notre Dame Capes only quality win is over Class 1 #2 Delta, happens to be the only real quality opponent they’ve played and they’re 4 classes below them.
And Norfork AR just happens to be the smallest school in the tournament by a mile.

And yes, I’m complaining, but just seems that Nixa set this tournament up as if scared to lose, which seems odd since they’re probably the best team in it.

If you think Nixa is the best team then obviously the next 2 best teams should be in the other pool. West Plains and Republic. Probably should of switched PHS and Norfolk. Most teams that host tournaments try to gain a little advantage. It happens all the time in Volleyball. I don't think its near as bad as your making it out to be though. Looking forward to WP vs Republic. Watched the CJ vs Republic game the other night and it was really good.

I think Republic is ever so slightly better than Nixa but it is really close.

I think Nixa has the talent advantage and Republic has the coaching advantage. Will be interesting to see how it plays out. Final chapter probably won’t be written until districts.
