News to me that high schools do this all the time as far as signing 5 year deals with one brand for all sports.

This is very common now. Pittsburg, KS was one of the first high schools in the country to get Nike back in 2004 because their Nike rep had graduated from Pitt and now is one of the reps to the NFL. Just last season they signed a deal with Adidas for all sports. The Nike rep really took care of them and from what I've heard several coaches were not happy but it seemed to be a political stunt between some higher ups and local businesses. Crazy that all this has mingled down to the high school level.

the "deal" is typically discounted gear and rebates back to school for $ spent.

my son's baseball team signed a "deal" with New Balance, we got $10 off cleats and had to put their logo on our jerseys.

Don't be expecting to build a new field house with your shoe contract money.

Little different then NFL and College who gets money. High School usually just a discount on purchases.
