Well that wasn't what I was expecting. Hopefully he can spark some life into the program that has been on the downward trend for a few years. Will be exciting to see what he can do

When I think of better places to be, Nixa is not on that list. Certainly not for football talent.

Seems to have a good resume, maybe he can turn the program around, at least maybe a little bit. Nixa just doesn’t seem to be into football as a district as it used to be in years past though.

I believe the new super is from Mississippi, so prolly had ties to him before. Nixa has the resources to bring in a 'name' per say. Only time will tell if this 'name' will produce.

Pretty impressive resume. It does seem odd that someone with that kind of long term history would leave their home state and come to Nixa of all places but if there is a connection that makes sense. Nixa is pretty random on the national scene but I wouldn’t think it’s a particularly tough sell..

I’ve said many times that I think the right coach could do very well in Nixa. They’ve had some good athletes and been a tough football team in some fairly recent years. Based on what I hear from friends who live there, football culture is nonexistent from HS all the way down to youth teams so that will be the challenge. I’ll be interested to see how this plays out.

Nixa probably isn't much different than Pearl. It's just outside of Jackson and about the same size as Nixa, probably also populated with a mix of upper middle class suburbanites and rural southern backwoods kids. Southern Missouri and Mississippi aren't really much different aside from more diversity in rural south than the ozarks.

I heard that as well....it would be hard to not hire this guy in my opinion!
