The Browns drafted him #1, the Brownnnss. He didn't have a twitter account with the N-word. He is an underdog story. He is a competitor. He routinely tore up Big 12 defenses. He was almost good enough to win the Rose Bowl. He is the next Drew Brees. While we don't know how much he drank, it takes a really fast athletic cop to bring him to the pavement. He beat a Ohio State team that lost terribly to Iowa. He is cool. Dorsey, though for reasons I don't know was fired in KC, in spite of making the KC roster a formidable team, sees his potential. I like him, the Browns know this, so they drafted him.

Is there a more difficult situation in the NFL? Assuming he plays in 18, if he wins 8 games, the reward for this feat is huge.

Other than being a consistent winner, setting record after record, and things like winning the award recognizing him as the best player in college football, I couldn't tell you....
Yeah, the Heisman is a great predictor of success in the 21st century.
What I don't get is the obvious maturity issues and the physical deficiencies that are not hard to see. I can't say he was the best QB available, let alone the best player available. Really don't have anything against the kid, just don't see his value at #1.
Mayfield, he has that swagger that fans love, but if he is playing against your team you might call him cocky. Something about him I don't like, but yet I want to see him succeed.
Yeah. His personality reminds me of Phillip Rivers, and I feel exactly that way about his play, love it till They play the chief's then it's Phyllis(cry me a) Rivers! Glad the donks didn't draft him.
Brown's have loaded up around him. They always seem to have a lot of early picks and they were active in free agency.
