Are you talking of the MAGA hat-wearing kids in DC and the Native American/Vietnam Vet? Horrible, isn’t it?
What part? That he stepped between two groups who were trash-talking one another? If so, how does that change the disrespect shown to this man? If not, please fill me in.
There seem to be some on here, not all, that wouldn't get any exercise at all if they weren't jumping to conclusions.
Especially if it makes Trump or any of his supporters look bad.
I didn’t realize they were Muslims that made up the other group. Still, does that justify how those kids mocked the Vietnam Vet?
Not Muslims, they are a very old super radical group of blacks who claim to basically be the lost tribe of Israel

Fell for what? Kids still very disrespectful. I’m sure most of us wouldn’t have remained as calm as he did with a teen in your face and a few others, only feet away, doing a mockingly “rain dance.” I don’t care if they had MAGA hats on or Obama hats ... disrespectful!! How can you see it otherwise?
There was lot of stuff going on there when you see all the different videos of it. The black guys taunting the students were not in the first one shown, then came the one with the black guys in it shouting at the kids and then one that shows the kids doing the Atlanta Braves type tomahawk chop to the old Indian guy and those with him who were there to protest the South Dakota pipeline. When one of them shouted "you stole our land" it shows one of the kids in MAGA hat saying "land gets stolen, that's just how it is." When do you suppose a teenage kid has ever seen anyone have their land stolen. I have no idea why any shoots officials allowed that to go on. How was the kid standing in the way of the old Indian man doing anybody any good. Why did school officials allow it to go for that long? That deal could have gotten out of hand real quick between adults and kids. Why didn't they get them away from it? How would they have felt if something happen to someone on any side of it?
You haven't watched the entire video apparently. The Kids were quite a distance from the Indian guy. He went over to them and started beating his war drum in their face, he is the one acting like an idiot not the students
Ok, let’s say the war veteran was acting like an “idiot.” Does that give anyone the right to act so disrespectful? What they had on, what color their skin is, what school they attend, etc., does not give them that right.
HE was beating his drum BEFORE he got near them, his group was there to protest the pipeline. HE was the one getting between them and the black guys taunting them. I guess they didn't get that and started making fun of him and his group. What the kid that got in front of him was doing I ain't figured out yet. He says HE was trying to defuse the situation, I guess he from the others in his group that were tomahawk chopping at the Indian group but I have my doubts about that with silly grin he had on his face while they did that behind him. Why didn't the adults there with the kids get them the hell out of there?
YES! The 70 year old man should have more sense and life experience than a bunch of stupid teenagers. If you seek out negative attention, dont be surprised when you get it.
What does skin color have to do with anything? Jerks come in all races, shades, colors, and creeds. You dont get a pass just because you're brown. If he sought to cause a disturbance in front of kids wearing MAGA hats, HE'S the jerk. That doesn't excuse them or school officials, but let's place all the blame and not be so selective just because the "victim" is a minority.
That's one of the more insincere things you leftists do, minorities aren't even equal people in your eyes and you dont even see it. You're so busy virtue signaling about who can "protect" the poor envictimed minority that you, perhaps unintentionally, treat them like a child to be saved more than an actual human being.
I wasn’t singling out any race, creed or color. All I was saying is it doesn’t matter who, what, when, where or why. Those kids were making fun of and being disrespectful to the man stepping in between the two groups to keep the peace.
C’mon, Dude. You’ve attacked me and you knew darn well what I meant. You saw one word in my statement and went off. I don’t care what color their skin (any of the three groups involved), what they had on their body or head, who they represented, any of that. The only one who tried to keep peace, who happens to be a Vietnam War vet, is under attack by you. As they say, no good deed goes unpunished.
He saw the confrontation and walked between the groups. Usual activity when two people/groups going at it ... get between them.
I don't know how anyone can say what he was doing besides playing a drum.
I don't know how anyone can say what the Covington kids were doing besides being teenagers on a field trip enjoying the moment (smiling, laughing, dancing, chanting).
I see nothing to indicate either had good or ill intentions.
The third group can be called out on many counts of confrontation, inciting conflict, and overall crudeness.
My question is, why all the furor over the two parties doing nothing harmful but i've not seen a thread or video of the one group who obviously was in the wrong?
Explain to me how drumming and someone comes up and sticks their face in your business is keeping the peace.

He got between the two groups to try to diffuse a problem, then the kid got in front of him so he stopped his forward progress and held his ground while the other kids started the tomahawk chop and laughed at him. How is the old Indian guy at fault here? BTW he said in the first interview I saw with him that he is a Vietnam 'time' vet. He did NOT claim to have been IN Vietnam but we all know how any vets were treated in that era. I had 3 brothers in the military during the Vietnam war, two in the army and one in the airforce. One went to Germany, one to South Korea and one the that went to Vietnam was in the AF and actually spent his time there working in an office in Saigon. They had NO say in where they were sent for overseas duty.
Yeah 16 year olds are stupid. That's why we dont let them vote, buy cigarettes or alcohol, they cant enter into contracts...its almost like their brains aren't developed enough to be held accountable...you know, the same way the legal system doesnt hold them accountable until they're 18. Banging a drum in their faces when you know the situation is already volital was dumb and unnecessary.
If this had been at a Redskins or Chiefs game that behavior would be seen as cheering for your team....

All I know about any of it is what I saw on TV and he said that's why he went between them. He was NOT there to protest kids in MAGA hats, he was there to protest the pipeline taking Indian land and posing a threat to their water supply. I don't know anyone involved and I wasn't there, you weren't there either so you don't anything I don't know about it. It was after Nathan Phillips (the Native Vietnam era veteran) 35 year old son told them to go back to Europe because they had stolen their land. You know, the part CNN left out because it doesnt fit their narrative. You know, the other case of adults baiting kids to say things that (while factually true) probably shouldnt have been said.
The Natives involved WERE antagonizing these KIDS and the kids reacted. Not saying all of what was said by the kids was right, but it was a RESPONSE to adults goading them into a fight.
Yet the media is only demonizing the kids, why is that?

I've seen video on CNN and Fox , among others and what you just said was shown in none of them. You think the kid saying "land gets stolen, that's just the way it is" is factually true? Who told him such a thing.
The history of humanity is one of conflict. If you dont know wars have been fought forever over land, then there's really no point in talking to you.

So I guess my overarching question is, why, in the face of all kinds of evidence that points to the kids essentially being the victim in all this, do you still refuse to admit a bunch of adults bullied some white Christian kids (and more continue to bully them) and side with the rhetoric of the left when it keeps being proven wrong?

You come up with the most ridiculous questions. No video I've seen shows that stuff and the kid has said HE stepped in front of the Indian guy. He also has said he wishes it hadn't happened and would like to talk to the old man and the old has said pretty much the same thing. The kid was NOT standing in his group while the old man beat the drum in front of him, he was thee in from of him all alone. The rest of the kids were off to the side and were laughing and tomahawk chopping to make fun of the Indians. What the heck does a war have to do with it? The Indians were NOT protesting anybody taking land in a war, they were protesting taking their land to build a pipeline that is also a possible threat to their water supply. I'll let you 'conservatives' have it on this subject since you rely on alternative facts.
No alternative facts here. I cant find the audio, but there is audio of Nathan Phillips son telling the students that they stole their land and they should go back to Europe.
