Has anyone heard rumors of a new mid Missouri conference made of of teams from the Tri-County, North Central and Clarence Cannon?
Ouch for S-C. Going to be tough sledding.New Mid Mo Conference is JC, Rock Bridge, Capital City, Smith Cotton, Hickman, and Helias
Nope not that one. This will have mostly class 3 &4 schoolsNew Mid Mo Conference is JC, Rock Bridge, Capital City, Smith Cotton, Hickman, and Helias

Honestly not sure but I assume so. Didn’t get the info from anyone from Mexico but a friend from Fulton. They also wouldn’t tell me schools involved just that they were from those 3 conferences. I originally thought Mexico wouldn’t be involved as I know Fulton has tried to get them kicked out of the NCMC more than once but who knowssince you started the thread, I’m going to assume that Mexico is involved??
I couldn't see Eldon leaving the Tri County. Too much tradition thereI haven't heard nothing but from the rumors I heard last week all NCMC teams will be class 4 this coming year, and also heard 20 teams from class 4 being bumped up to class 5. I say the teams that could be in this new rumor conference possibly be Mexico, Moberly, Fulton Kirksville, Blair oaks, Southern Boone, Eldon, Centralia and possibly Macon
I had the same thought...although sorta thought the same thing about Versailles.I couldn't see Eldon leaving the Tri County. Too much tradition there

Those NCMC teams running away from Hannibal or what? Hannibal dominates football obviously, but those schools are at least competitive in other sports.I haven't heard nothing but from the rumors I heard last week all NCMC teams will be class 4 this coming year, and also heard 20 teams from class 4 being bumped up to class 5. What about Hallsville and Boonville and Tolton, for that matter?Got to think its Fulton and Southern Boone driving this. A Callaway-Boone-Audrian county centered conference?
Oops...I thought they moved to that new conference...maybe had Buffalo and some others??? Did they end up not doing that? And Versailles is still in the Tri-County conference.
There was talk but school board voted against it. They stayed in the Tri-countyOops...I thought they moved to that new conference...maybe had Buffalo and some others??? Did they end up not doing that?
Could not see Blair Oaks leaving the tri-county and not seeing anyone pick up Tolton for a conferenceFulton
Southern Boone
Mexico
Centralia
Moberly
Hallsville
Boonville
Blair Oaks or Tolton Catholic
That seems to be the most logical combination. It would send major ripples throughout Central Missouri though. Lots of schools would be moving places if that happened.
Ok got a little more info out of my guy. It’s looks like So Boone and Boonville from the Tri County, Fulton, Mexico, Kirksville and Moberly from NCMC and Centralia and Macon from the CCC. Blair Oaks as a possibility.
Really leaves Hannibal and Marshall our in the cold. Marshall may have the new CEMO as an option or MRVC. Hannibal would have to beg it’s way into the CEMO or GAC
Honestly, If Blair Oaks followed their traditions with their known rivalries with certain schools they would stay in Tri County. If Blair Oaks wanted to boost up in competition it would be a move towards a tougher conference. Knowing how the Blair Oaks faithful, they would prefer to keep traditional rivalries intact in Tri County.
If SOBOCO and Booneville did leave (even though Booneville just joined), I am not sure who would be good replacements.
North and South Callaway and Father Tolton are about the only options I see.Honestly, If Blair Oaks followed their traditions with their known rivalries with certain schools they would stay in Tri County. Marshall would be a great fit in MRVC, and Hannibal have a better chance to go independent than joining GAC or the CEMO
