Has anyone heard rumors of a new mid Missouri conference made of of teams from the Tri-County, North Central and Clarence Cannon?

since you started the thread, I’m going to assume that Mexico is involved??
Honestly not sure but I assume so. Didn’t get the info from anyone from Mexico but a friend from Fulton. They also wouldn’t tell me schools involved just that they were from those 3 conferences. I originally thought Mexico wouldn’t be involved as I know Fulton has tried to get them kicked out of the NCMC more than once but who knows

I haven't heard nothing but from the rumors I heard last week all NCMC teams will be class 4 this coming year, and also heard 20 teams from class 4 being bumped up to class 5. I say the teams that could be in this new rumor conference possibly be Mexico, Moberly, Fulton Kirksville, Blair oaks, Southern Boone, Eldon, Centralia and possibly Macon

I couldn't see Eldon leaving the Tri County. Too much tradition there

Those NCMC teams running away from Hannibal or what? Hannibal dominates football obviously, but those schools are at least competitive in other sports.

Got to think its Fulton and Southern Boone driving this. A Callaway-Boone-Audrian county centered conference?

Honestly, I would look at Centralia, SoBoCo, Hallsville, North and South Callaway, Boonville and Fulton to start a conference If I had to do it. Although South Callaway has dropped in numbers so they may not want in.

Fulton
Southern Boone
Mexico
Centralia
Moberly
Hallsville
Boonville
Blair Oaks or Tolton Catholic

That seems to be the most logical combination. It would send major ripples throughout Central Missouri though. Lots of schools would be moving places if that happened.

Could not see Blair Oaks leaving the tri-county and not seeing anyone pick up Tolton for a conference

Marshall fans would probably like an opportunity to cut down on NCMC travel to 2+ hour conference trips to Kirksville and Hannibal.

Ok got a little more info out of my guy. It’s looks like So Boone and Boonville from the Tri County, Fulton, Mexico, Kirksville and Moberly from NCMC and Centralia and Macon from the CCC. Blair Oaks as a possibility.

Really leaves Hannibal and Marshall our in the cold. Marshall may have the new CEMO as an option or MRVC. Hannibal would have to beg it’s way into the CEMO or GAC

Marshall would be a great fit in MRVC, and Hannibal have a better chance to go independent than joining GAC or the CEMO

Honestly, If Blair Oaks followed their traditions with their known rivalries with certain schools they would stay in Tri County. If Blair Oaks wanted to boost up in competition it would be a move towards a tougher conference. Knowing how the Blair Oaks faithful, they would prefer to keep traditional rivalries intact in Tri County.

If SOBOCO and Booneville did leave (even though Booneville just joined), I am not sure who would be good replacements.

If Fatima started football they would be the best fit by far.

North and South Callaway and Father Tolton are about the only options I see.

Ok I would go with Boonville, Hallsville, Marshall, SoBoCo, Fulton, Moberly and Mexico to start the conference. That would be pretty even and travel would be at a minimum!
