A guy I work with in Joplin thinks he was an assistant at Diamond a few years back. His son played there. He didn't have very good things to say (if it is the same guy). However, I don't think the guy I work with knows anything about football so take that for what it is worth.
I wouldn't think much into then. He was the DC there for 4 years under 2 HC's and the defense was the most consistent part of the program during that span. Stats don't lie.
I will tell you this; he is a coach that will adapt and change the scheme to fit the kids you have. He is not the old-school "my way or the high way" coach. He took a SC program that had won 8 games in the previous 3 seasons before he got their and had back to back 7 win seasons. He is very active with his players, parents and community. Offensively he will fit it to the players. Defensively, he has run a few different ones in his time as a DC and HC so I would imagine it will depend on his personnel and the opponents within the schedule. California is getting a very good Coach and a great Person to lead their program.

Coach Gragg was one of my assistants in 2009, 2010, and 2011 when I was at Diamond . He will do a good job. He has a good rapport with students and his players. He knows football, especially Offensive line play.
Actually he brought Coach Lance Harbor with him to the interview as support. He said he was going to go with the Run and Gun Offense built around the Hook and Ladder.
Sounds like you have followed his career closely... Just a buddy of his? a former player parent? his dad?
Is Darcy coming too? Or is that still a sore subject with you?? Since you were too scared to close the deal?
Also, as a former DB, i would run right through the middle of the 'hook' of the hook and ladder and that would send the ball flying and would be a big play for the AMPIPE BULLDOGS!!!!!

You talk about Darcy an awful lot STEPH. I think you are a little jealous of the whipped creme bikini. I don't blame you...very few have gotten to experience it. But it just shows what a stand up guy Jonathan Moxon was back in the day to not give in like that and betray a friend and my girl friend (who I didn't know if I loved, but I might have, but I didn't love Darcy).
Also, as a former QB, I would see you flying to the hook and look you off and go deep. 6 POINTS WEST CANAAN!!!!! GO PACK! GO PACK!

If we are in man, you're right, i am going to jump the hook. If you throw the go to someone else... thats not on me. If you try and hook and go me... then i am going to make contact on the hook on his outside shoulder... ride the spin out of the hook and run with him while forcing him to the sideline... i would play the ball...and probably take it back for a pick six.

I have known him for several years. We are both coaches and talk on daily basis.

uhhh... i dont like to brag, but there was a documentary about my senior year, that everyone loves. Have you seen it?
Don't waste your time Raw....there was better documentary done in the 90's about my team from West Canaan...well worth the watch.
