For the first time in 90+years (I want to say 96 but not sure) Clever will be playing Football. My Willow Springs Bears will be their first opponent and we travel to see them. I dont know if any new people from that town will be on this site but looking for recommended places to eat for our people that will be going there. Thanks for all the recommendations :)

And please, no replies about whether there will be or should be games or not. There's at least 10 threads about that already. I just want to find some good places to go for our fans.

You need to go to republic which is the next town over and eat at Flat Creek.

Well I don’t know anything about places in Clever. But Bullit is right on Flat Creek. It’s fantastic

I'm going to third Flat Creek. Last I knew there wasn't much in Clever, not really a ton in Republic for that matter - but Flat Creek is the first (actually only) thing that comes to mind unless you lump in Springfield.

There is a bbq place in Republic called Heady's that makes a sandwich called the Pignasty. It's a gamechanger.

Dew: There are not a lot of choices IN Clever. Flat Creek expanded a year or two ago and opened a location in Republic, its pretty awesome. Or Bairs All-American Sports Grill in Nixa for an incredible burger would do the job as well, for you.

Yes that is a good place to eat, I have eaten at Big Whiskeys a few times not bad either. They are a local chain and I think have one in either Ozark or Nixa maybe both.

Gettin' Basted BBQ just opened a location in Nixa right on Hwy 14 as you are headed to Clever. Now, I haven't been to that location yet, but the Branson location is easily the best BBQ outside of City Butcher in Springfield.

Bairs and Coyotes in Nixa, both REALLY good.

If it’s hot I would consider making supper Andy’s frozen custard. Your driving right by the one on south Glenstone.

Didnt realize you come across 60 all the way to Campbell. Of those listed, here’s my order.
1...City Butcher—It’s right on Campbell, a solid PW from Kickapoo. You’re driving within a mile or two of it. Texas style que about as good as you’ll ever find it. They do two cooks a day, and run out. I’d get there super close to the evening cook. I believe it’s at 5. Burnt ends and fatty brisket are just ridiculous. Might check to see if their dining room is open though. We went back in June and they were still carry out only. There’s no close second, IMHO.
2...Coyotes in Nixa—GREAT wings. If you enjoy twice fried, here’s your place. Tons of sauce options, and can do any twice fried. Super good. On Main in Nixa. You pass within a 1/2 mile of it.
3...Bairs in Nixa—Awesome burgers. Tons of burger options and all really good.
4...B-29 Cafe—It’s in Ozark at the 65 and CC exit. So you’d drop down 65 to CC and then shoot across CC to Nixa. Easy peasy. Cool little diner type joint. Had the pork tenderloin yesterday. Sooooo good. PoBoys are unreal good too. Great burgers.
5...Morning Day Cafe Nixa—Downtown Nixa. Closes at 4, so gotta get there early. Breakfast, brunch, and lunch joint. Some of the best Nachos you’ll ever eat.

I have passed all the recommendations to our local athletics page on facebook. Thank you all for the help! Good luck to all of your programs. And yes good luck to the new program in Clever, except that first game, lol. I like seeing schools add football and hopefully more come in the future that are their size (Seymour/Mansfield/Licking - and I probably just started a new subject :D )
