NBA has cancelled it's season!!!!

There was a game about to start that was called with fans in the stands. At least one of the officials had called a game that the infected player was in last week. I would not bet on having a state tournament in Missouri this year as fast as the cancellations are coming in. Maryville is not hosting a playoff game now and Lindenwood has shut down where the Class 5 quarter final between Poplar Bluff and Kirkwood girls was supposed be Saturday.
You think they’re going to play other sports after this? No way. Ncaa tourney, NHL, MLS, XFL, soccer, etc. it’s all going to be off for now.
That's probably true....Insanity is more infectious than the C-Virus.
States and localities were banning the events as is. It was only a matter of time. All it would take is one sick player to halt the season when they had to put teams, officials, etc into quarantine. It was bound to happen
The NFL has such a higher quantity of law abiding citizens, right MGHS? What's the matter? Or do you say that because there are too many blacks in the NBA?

Here is a sentence I thought I would never say or type. I kind of feel bad for Vince McMahon. I think he tried to do the XFL right this time. It isn't a carnival sideshow. It isn't great and it isn't perfect, but there was a legitimate effort to put something together, and this is completely out of their control, and it will probably end it.
I think he had a better plan, and if the TV ratings had stayed at this level he probably had a chance.
Having sick players infecting 80 year old owners and 65 year old coaches is recipe for PR disaster
I think the players infecting James Dolan would probably not be a disaster.
Nascar will go on with no fans. That might be only sport that not having fans would have no affect on the outcome. In basketball the atmosphere with a huge crowd can probably make more of a difference than any other sport.
I hope it stays on. We need something sports related on TV. I'm not convinced this will be the case for long, though.
It also doesn't really make sense to run around the country from race track to race track if you don't have ticket sales to worry about. Run the next few races in and around Charlotte if you can. I recognize car setups, etc. matter but I dunno how you're going to want to travel to all of these places if the virus spreads to them.
