My neighbor gave $1,000

Me and my son help our neighbor with chores around her house be it mowing the yard raking leaves, she is in her 80's and her husband passed away from brain cancer a few years back and all of her family lives in another state. So have my boy go over and check on her and do chores, he is autistic and it is good for him with the interaction.

Well me and my boys went over there this weekend we mowed raked and bagged all the leafs, well usually she give my sons a few bucks for helping. Well towards the end she comes out and says would it be alright if I give you a check and just wait a few weeks before cashing it. I tell her don't worry about it we don't need the money we do it to be neighborly. Well she starts going on about the election and how things went down and that she ended up giving $1,000 to Trump's defense for election fraud so things are going to be tight for her right now. I just sort of agree with her I don't really like to fight with my neighbors about politics because well I have to live with them. Well we are talking for a good bit and my 12 year old autistic son finally gets bored and say.... well we all know it Trump is broke and a con artist you just waisted $1,000...dad are we done now can we go home.....that ended that conversation real quick.

Thanks for sharing, bullit. Good for you and your son. Don't know what to say about your neighbor lady, only that I hope she can afford the donation and doesn't affect her comfort.

Great reporting, I have called a few friends and shared you and your sons story. This money will go straight into Trump pocket. ( Opinion )

After checking with a couple of friends, One was Democrat and the other was a Republican. I ask each if they would keep or return the thousand dollars.

The Democrat said, I would return the entire amount back to the sender.

The Republican stated, this is a hard decision, I most likely would keep 500 dollars and return 500 dollars back to the sender since she had no money to pay the boys for working in her yard.
