Banned from the postseason this year??? Lost a schollie in one of the next two years when they probably will still suck? It could be worse.
Mike Alden sure knows how to pick them, doesn't he
Anderson almost certainly knew the deal when he went there and he is being paid handsomely to take these beatings. I'm not shedding a tear for him.Frank Heath is what is wrong with Div 1 sports. They would
turn on their own family if that means they can win. He left
Missouri in shambles and Anderson will probably pay the price
getting fired.
Kim said yesterday that he didn't know about the investigation when he took the job.Anderson almost certainly knew the deal when he went there and he is being paid handsomely to take these beatings. I'm not shedding a tear for him.
It makes a lot more sense why they hired him now.

St. Louis post reported KA did not know about these things . Might be good for him in the long run. Should get another year or 2. I hope the guys he has recruited don't jump ship. That sucks.
Matter reporting the NCAA told the school they couldn't tell KA. Interesting.Kim said yesterday that he didn't know about the investigation when he took the job.
I bet he gets next year, they eat the scholarship loss then, and then can him.St. Louis post reported KA did not know about these things . Might be good for him in the long run. Should get another year or 2. I hope the guys he has recruited don't jump ship.
I think he gets two more years UNLESS a bunch of those currently playing lots of minutes jump ship and transfer. We will see how mentally tough these kids are and I'm pulling for them and will go and support them even though we are outmanned right now and sometimes it gets real ugly out there.I bet he gets next year, they eat the scholarship loss then, and then can him.
I find it hard to believe he gets two more years if the team keeps losing like this. I didn't want Haith when they hired the jerk and I lay that giant mistake totally at Alden's feet. (Note that Haith and Alden are both gone before the fit hits the shan and we, the program and fans, are left to suffer the consequences of their actions.) I think we need clawback provisions like a lot of corporate America now. I just don't think it is right that we make multimillionaires out of these prima donnas and they leave companies (or programs in this case) bankrupt, bleeding and in shambles.
I'm looking at the attendance (or lack thereof) every time I go. I just don't think they can lay this mess off on coach. Now they handicap him further by recruiting restrictions and taking schollies and we don't even know whether the NCAA will accept our proposal or be more severe. I think he at least needs a chance to build a program. If he had taken over a program that was hitting on all cylinders and we were performing like this then I understand.I find it hard to believe he gets two more years if the team keeps losing like this. He's down one scholarship and an SEC tourney in a year when they suck. Let's keep it real, this punishment is a slap on the wrist. It's a bad headline but there's plenty of examples of others doing better than this, especially at a school with Mizzou's history, financials, and facilities. Miami bounced back nicely from Haith.I'm looking at the attendance (or lack thereof) every time I go. I just don't think they can lay this mess off on coach. He's not going to get a year 4 if they continued to be one of the 3 worst teams in the SEC. This is not that talented a conference year in and year out; Mizzou should not be in the bottom half of this league for any sustained period of time.
They are not showing progress that the fans should accept yet, and the administrators are going to have to act if that doesn't change. It's not like he has a banner recruiting class signed for next year, either. There's a lot of things pushing them to only give him 3 years. Heck, there's a chance he is gone after this year if they go 3-15 again in the SEC.
It can't help, that's for sure. The punishment Missouri has right now is self imposed. The NCAA may and probably will impose more sanctions.
I do think it is the main reason Anderson has not been let go yet and could get another year. The jury is still out if he can win at Missouri but I don't think he is going to do anything that will get you in trouble with the NCAA.
Missouri will bounce back but I think this probably adds another year or two on the rebuilding process and it could be another 2-3 seasons before they are competitive.
My perception pretty well tracks yours on this topic and that's why I think he could get as much as two more years. At that point most of the mess is behind you and the job may attract more interest than one which has a cloud hanging over it.The punishment Missouri has right now is self imposed. The NCAA may and probably will impose more sanctions.

That's my understanding as well. If a school follows the NCAA guidelines they tend to accept their recommendations. This is only their self-imposed sanctions. I believe the NCAA can come back and add to it if they wish. I may be wrong.
