On another subject, is Hughes in the Anderson doghouse again or is he hurt, he never left the bench last night.

Somebody on here, Metrodude I believe, said Vanleer was THE answer for a 3 point guy at Mizzou. What happened to him since HS?

3Rfan, I do not remember saying anything about VanLeer being the answer for Missouri. VanLeer played in Four Rivers conference which is average competition for the boys but "Off the Charts " for girls basketball. Class 4 Pacific, Class 5 Washington and Class 3 St. James are near the top of their class in statewide polls. Pacific girls have defeated highly ranked Washington two times this season. I'm guessing the " Lady Indians " are the most poplar winter sport @ Pacific high school. My stomach is hurting after posting Franklin county now belongs to the ladies not the boys.

I must admit the Four Rivers Conference ( Plus Borgia and Washington ) have much higher ranking for the girls when compared with the boys.

I'm not sure what you said but you were pretty high on VanLeer going to Mizzou.

Metro and I seldom agree, but this once. Ha ha.

I think metro was big on Van Leers shooting ability. I can tell you the kid can flat shoot, but he's struggling at Mizzou. You could say defense is better but I think his shots are open, just not hitting them. Could be that he feels more pressure emotionally as it's easier to shoot when your dad is the coach and you know you have his support. However I'm pretty sure he has Anderson's support for his shooting so who knows. Sometimes you just struggle hitting your shots. But they really need someone to hit some. They've been in last several games but hard to win when you can't score.
