Congrats to the Lady Mountaineers for winning state in girls Softball. They go from not being able to finish basketball to winning a state title in softball. They finish the season 37-1 Impressive.

Aren't they about the biggest school that plays Spring softball?

I don't know how big they are but I heard Park Hills Central went to spring softball ball. I think some others in that area that had been in the fall switched too.

It seems to be a major trend the last few years with teams moving to the spring. I still do not understand why the state allows this sport to have 2 seasons and allow schools to choose.

I was under the impression that Spring softball was for small schools that didn't have enough girls for softball and volleyball in the fall.

That is correct, think he will have girls golf also, believe he has a daughter who plays.

Be interesting to see what he can do with basketball, for a school of this size to go from 2 state championships not that long ago to not being able to finish a season was really weird.

First thing he has to do is try to get more girls out. The Volleyball and Softball teams have a lot of athletes that are underclassmen that don't play Basketball.
