Question I have been trying figure out and can't seem to find an answer online. Is MSHSAA a government agency of some sort? Or is just as it says, an association of high schools with no government interference?

Private organization of member schools.

MSHSAA board of directors is made up of Superintendents representing regions of the state. Principals are part of the voting decisions.

Of the 10 BOD, 1 is a principal and 3 are ADs.
