Key issues to be addressed at Area Meetings shall include:

1. Basketball – Splitting the Girls and Boys Seasons
2. Emerging Activities – E Sportss
3. Junior High Membership – Should we expand to be a 6th-12th Grade Association - 9th Grade can only play at the High School Levels
4. Mental Health Training and Education for Coaches to recognize signs and symptomss
5. Girls Wrestling – two-year phase in ending and deciding what’s nexts
6. Volleyball – Varsity going to 5 Sets

One season will start earlier like two weeks. This is how it is in several states. Mental training. Wth. Volleyball refs have to earn their pay.

Splitting seasons is a bad idea for small schools. Most of them play varsity boys and girls together.

Also, I thought volleyball had already decided to go best 3 of 5 next year.

The basketball splitting? Do you know what the purpose/thought of this is? A lot of SWMO schools do a "SUPER" night--where all boys and girls play same night.

Now that the General Assembly has forced schools to push the start of the school year back they are now wanting to push start dates back for fall practices.

If practices get pushed back, the football season will likely have to be shortened. Weeks 1-9 will become a ‘play in’ to the district bracket. Not all teams will qualify for districts.

Fall softball ends early. The thought is to start their season. Start early and end early. I’m assuming girls state tournament followed by boys state later.

If it all passes there will be adjustments to scheduling.

3. How about 7 & 8 for JH, 9-12 for HS? Too radical?
4. It took me several months to finish the training for first aid. Let’s add some more.

Some schools still play 9th in Jr high. I don't see the benefits of moving 6th grade up. See a 6th grader trying to tackle an 8th grader. Sometimes there comes a time when a school has to co-op if they can't field enough for Jr high.
