Have a few.. But hate to get the Doc Guys going on this one....
Had this been last week, the Doc Guys would be all over on this one. Sadly, we have fallen on hard times and might even be disbanding!! Back to your question, Ampipe doesnt watch movies on long bus rides. We stare off into the distance and ponder the task ahead. Some offensive players go over the game plan and plays with Coach. We stay focused the moment we step foot on that bus. IF Ampipe watched movies, I would say something like the movie 300. A real good, fire ya up kind of movie!

I remember a long bus trip in college, and we put in Caddyshack. By the time it was over all the players and coaches were rolling. Probably shouldn't watch that on a high school trip.

Longest Yard
Waterboy
Game Stands Tall
Radio
Armageddon

My junior year we played at Borgia and I put in "Any Given Sunday."(None of the coaches had seen it yet)Coach Stolzer really appreciated the cocaine scene...............................I'm not sure I claimed that video when we got there. Either way that look from the front of the bus was scary.

Remember the Titans, Rudy etc. etc........

Jamaican Bobsled Team for the kidz

There is a documentary made all the way back in the 80's, called All the Right Moves. It was made about my Senior year in 83'. Really digs deep into the internal strife of the hopes and dreams and how they can be realized or broken in a blink of an eye, even at the ripe age of 18.... If you are the underdog tonight it is perfect for a pregame movie to get your kids fired up.

PSA... might fast forward through the scene with me and lisa in my room... things happen, stuff is seen.

Well said Stef! Our doc digs really deep into the internal strife not only a team faces, but also a town! I think I cover the town aspect pretty well,.

I like "All The Right Moves II - Bosko's Obsession"
In this cult classic, Bosko clandestinely follows Steph to Cal Poly with the intentions of sabotaging both Steph's and Coach Nickerson's football careers. While hiding in a bush outside of Steph's dormitory, Bosko plots diabolical stunts while simultaneously avoiding a hotshot IRS investigator (played by Burt Lancaster's cousin's former roommate's grandson) who is convinced Bosko is involved with steel commodity insider trading.
"Fun for your whole family and pet goldfish!"

Holy cow!!! Did you just come up with that!? That sounds like pure, cinematic gold!!! Add the me running the Cal-Poly boost club element, and Ill sign on to star in the film today!!!

Someone once told me about a Varsity Blues 2 documentry...it focused on Miss Davis and her time at the club....I wouldnt suggest looking that up at your employment.

I always expected my players at every level to stay quiet, go over their plays and our gameplan and focus on the game and doing it TOGETHER, regardless if the drive is 6 minutes or 6 hours, we are on a business trip and will do it the right way.

There were a couple of times I thought about showing all the Rocky movies to get them motivated, but it may have made my corner decide to tackle the man instead of go for the ball.

You're CB was not very good in coverage....he couldn't tackle the man though.

One could make an argument that the corner cost us the game!

Of course you two would try to team up against me... I could cover and i could hit like mack truck...

Any other two posters and this might hurt my feelings...

Shouldn't be watching movies going TOO a big game

Back in 1961 after winning the conference championship at Lamar, Coach fired up a cigar for every player getting back on the bus,,,and there might have been a bottle or two of Old Crow on the back seats.

Things were different back then, beat the hell out of a movie so I am told by old guys who made that road trip :)
