Mound City 36, Worth County 32; FINAL

According to this page, Mound City now has 7 state titles, same as Worth County. Maybe they can meet again next year to decide who is the best 8 man program ever ... or North Andrew could win their 7th and we'd have a 3-way tie again.

CONGRATS to Mound City! Wondered about their regular season schedule but they were my 8-man favorite from mid-season on.................

Doesn't hurt Worth one bit to get co-op players from NE Nodaway in Ravenwood. I would favor them in 2019 as of now.............

Mound City has players from Craig in that co-op.
One of the most interesting stories the KC Star ever did was on the struggles of very small 8-man schools and they chose Craig. I forget how long a losing streak they endured but very happy their kids now get to play for a great program like Mound. Minus the co-ops not sure how many of these very rural schools would field a FB team at all..........

Or other sports, for that matter.
