District 8 Class 6
This district is crazy stacked! Top 4 seeds would be legitimate threats to win many of the districts in the state. Staley is so far ahead of everyone else though. Oak Park could easily be in the state championship game but they'll have to beat Staley just to get out of districts. You look at the south district in KC and Lees Summit West has no competition. District 7 is interesting. Can't tell which Columbia school is the strongest. They all trade wins against each other.

Any other stacked districts in the other classes?

It’s Nixa and Poo and everyone else. They are head and shoulders above the rest. Big schools are mediocre in SWMO and are just beating each other. There are no good wins from any of those teams except from Nixa and Poo.

Class 3 district 10 - Mansfield, Thayer, Seymour top 3 teams. All really good. Liberty/Mtn View and Licking at 4 and 5 cannot be overlooked.

Out here in fly-over country we have a good bunch clustered in Class 4 D-9 that includes Father Tolton, Fatima, Fulton, Blair Oaks, So.Boone & Boonville.
Several are capable of a trip to Springfield IMHO but it appears U of V is the favorite to dominate this class once again.

Enjoy the games... C =)~

Class 5 District 1

Cape Central #2
Sikeston #6
Hillsboro #10
Windsor
Festus

Not bad. Central is head and shoulder better than the rest though.

I just flat haven't had time to do much basketball this winter so would like input about a potential Nixa-Staley rematch for all the marbles. Have actually seen the Falcons once I saw nothing telling me they are anything but top drawer. That being said Kickapoo owes unbeaten Nixa.

Always watch rivalries and blowout rematches: IF form holds OP-Staley will be one I'd bet is far closer than the regular season game (28 pt. Falcons win).

Class 4 District 9 Fulton is 20-3 and the third seed. Tolton and Fatima are 1 and 2 seed.
4 Southern Boone and 5 Blair Oaks are both undefeated in conference play and will play for the Tri-county conference championship this week. Even Boonville with a terrible record winless in the conference plays almost everyone tight for 3 quarters.

Class 2 District 7. Can never count Harrisburg out at the 4th seed. New Franklin, Westran and Salisbury are #4, 8 and 9 in the state. Those 3 are 1-1 with each other. Semi-finals and finals will be can not miss games.

Staley is better than anyone in C6. Not sure it's a close second. Pretty similar to LSN and Nixa in football. Poo and Nixa are both VERY good basketball teams, but they'd both have about a puncher's chance against Staley. No knock at all to them, Staley is just that good.

True, but anything can happen.

Park Hill played Staley tough only losing by 6 tonight. Lost to OP by single digits earlier in the season, too. Definitely a dark horse in this as you stated loaded district.

Rog is the clear favorite, no doubt. But, having the Tigers and Panthers as #2 and #3 seed makes it a lot tougher that most Class 4 Districts.

Kickapoo has a solid record overall, but it's puzzling how they got blown out by a Sunrise Christian team that struggled to beat Granby.

What? Granby? Yeah, not the same Sunrise Christian. Sunrise that beat Poo is ranked top 10 in nation. Plays Oak Hill, LaLu, Wasatch, IMG, Montverde. Not East Newton. The Sunrise that East Newton played was the “Silver” developmental team. A step below the “Gold” team, and nowhere near the Elite team. Basically the “C” team. The elite team has multiple 5* guys, and guys going to G-League (including the projected #1 pick in the 2024 NBA draft.) The other 2 teams have players paying the 17k a year to go there and subsidize the Elite guys. You have payers, and you have players.
