According to this they were granted an appeal by the “board of directors” in Springfield.
I’m assuming he’s referring to MSHSAA

The head coach of Cooter is who I’m assuming this is?

I wonder how that would work logistically if they switched things up? I am assuming any alternate scenario would be a 5 team setup with the original Final Four plus Cooter. I can't imagine they would just include Cooter and force Principia to stay home.

As you know by now, Cooter Schools was granted an Appeal to the MSHSAA Board of Directors regarding the result of our Quarterfinal game vs. Principia on March 3rd. Our appeal was unsuccessful. We appreciate the incredible support we have received since Friday night.

Amazing how the body can re-energize with a few days rest. When you add that to the adrenaline of continuing post season play, I would worry more about shooting touch.

It sucks what happened but at the end of the day Cooter could not overcome 2 points against a team they had throttled by 20 a few weeks earlier. Cooter was held scoreless in the first quarter and played poorly for most of the game.

This is pretty bad but I am not sure it is much different than a player stepping out of bounds right before they score and the referee misses it. It is a little worse but in the same ball park I think.

Kudos to MSHSAA to hearing their appeal. That is the right thing to do. Even if they had no intention of changing anything.
