4 onside kicks and 3 2-pt attempts. Both teams may need to work on their kicking games.
Yes. It's a rivalry game. And they are playing very well. I think it will be a close game.@HoopsTournament , what would your thoughts be on next week's game? Do you think P-town has a shot?
Perhaps. Still, this is always a war, and it's for the #2 seed for Centralia and I guess if Macon wins it could mean a #1 seed since they beat Palmyra. Not sure on the rules there. I would hope not, as Palmyra is clearly the better team now and two clear in the W/L record.I was told Centralia's top RB had a season-ending injury in the game with Mexico. 4 in a row might happen.

If Macon is #2 in points and Palmyra is #1, then Macon gets the #1 seed automatically. Macon is in an interesting situation. They pretty much clinch the #1 seed with a win. If they lose, they could drop to #4 seed if Clark County wins next week and Macon finishes #3 in points and Clark County finishes #4 in points.Perhaps. When it was 20-0 Monroe City after 7 offensive plays I almost left to go to that game.Oh, @Mike*Honcho Marceline 25 Westran 22.
Wow. That's just wrong IMO. Palmyra could be 8-1, conference co-champs (champs in my eyes but I digress), and lose the #1 seed to a 6-3 Macon team they lost to in Week 1. This is what you get when you have hard/fast rules. There needs to be some wriggle room for mitigating circumstances. If Macon is #2 in points and Palmyra is #1, then Macon gets the #1 seed automatically. Macon is in an interesting situation. I understand your point, but in the end, the districts are just for seedings and home field. They still have to play the game. If Palmyra is truly the better team, they will beat Macon whether the game is at home or on the road.Wow. That's just wrong IMO. Oh, and may I add this Clark County team is dangerous. Could upset an apple cart or two in district play.
No doubt. Correct me if I'm wrong, but in the current system's infancy wasn't a formal appeal required to be filed (fairly certain)? Then voted on by school's represenatives (not so certain)? If that was the case, this situation shouldn't have been a slam dunk reversal, or denied outright. Macon doesn't have the wins, or quality wins Palmyra would have. I wouldn't vote for it, nor ask for it to begin with.I understand your point, but in the end, the districts are just for seedings and home field. They still have to play the game. Monroe City was a #2 seed in their district last year and they ended up finishing second in state.
Yes that was the case. The problem was that there were instances where it clearly should have been a reversal where it was voted down. Plus you have to take the time for everyone to vote while teams are trying to find out who they are going to play. I think there were a lot of complaints because of these reasons. No doubt. So how does it work now? No vote - just automatically granted?Yes that was the case. The problem was that there were instances where it clearly should have been a reversal where it was voted down. Not smart, IMO. Easy to do that when you're slapping Paris & Louisiana around, but late in a tight game or in OT, you may need a FG to win. If you've never even kicked a PAT, you may be forced to go for it on 4th and goal from the 9 against a quality D. Could be the difference in winning & losing - esp in postseason.Monroe City does not kick extra points. They convert 75% of the 2-pt conversions. They don't believe in kicking extra points.
