Trying to feel better after Friday night's close call?
I could swear Webb won Friday night???
There some good football played on Monday nights it’s fun to see the young kids develop
Freshman team is going to be very good when they suit up on Friday nights in a couple of years
No wonder Webb's freshmen kick ass...playing 36 year old men. I hope they've got a 20-something kid with fresh legs to run the ball.

Something to keep an eye on for future seasons---Willard beat Webb City in both 7th and 8th grade football this week. Will be interesting to see how those groups progress as they get into the older grades. The 8th grade group for Willard went undefeated last year and the 7th grade group has never lost, going back to youth football.
I don't think it means much. A few years ago a CJ 8th grade team beat WC by around 30 points. It does not seem to have translated to high school.
The group of WC Seniors that won state in 1992 not only did not win a game in 8th grade but also did not score a point.
That’s not to say that Willard won’t have a successful group but it isn’t always a great predictor.
One of Chillicothe's state championship team Senior class didn't win any games as freshmen and as Juniors were 4-5 on varsity. Sometimes it just takes time in the weight room, time to mature or getting that one or two underclassmen that are the missing pieces.

No offense but it doesn’t matter the coaching in high school is what matters. My grade lost 2 games from 3rd grade through freshman year and the coach ran most of the players off because he was incompetent
It also doesn’t matter because Coach Rod will get some 155 lb short kid that can run decent to become some animal linebacker. That’s where he’s better than everyone else, a lot of years there teams are filled with shit athletes on paper but you get on the field and it’s like holyyy crap these dudes shouldn’t be moving that hard and hitting with that type of reckless abandon. It’s incredible
And you mix in the plethora of really good and sometimes phenomenal athletes every year and being able to adjust on the fly especially at half time and you got yourself a Webb city dynasty.
Hey now, my life in the 80's in high school is stuff legends are made of, then to top it off I won two state titles in high school after my rocky start as a freshmen. However I did get a sophomore to give me her panties then scored with the a seniors hot girlfriend.
