11 seed Mo St Defeated 6 seed DePaul today 89-78.
Lead by as many as 19.

Mizzou defeated Drake by 1 in OT, Missouri State beat Drake by 20+ last week in MVC tournament Championship.

Missouri State did lose to Mizzou by 4 earlier in the season I believe.

Only the second year an MVC women’s team has won in the NCAA Tournament since Jackie Stiles lead them to the Final Four in 2001.

And Missouri State Lady Bears are pretty young with Danielle Gitzen the only senior so they could be scary good the next few years and a real threat to advance further in the ncaa tournament in the years to come.

I agree. It’s crazy that with only one senior and also starting a freshman I believe, they went 14-2 in the valley and won the valley tournament.

Last week they beat #21 Drake in the valley championship by 20+

This weekend they beat #24 DePaul by 11 in the NCAA tourney first round, but led by 21 with 3-4 minutes to go I’m pretty sure.

Tonight at 8 PM CST they play #13(I believe) Iowa State in the second round, who is also the host of this round so homecourt advantage will definitely be a factor.

If the Lady Bears can win they have probably the toughest road from the first round to the finish to be able to make it to the final four.

Mizzou lost in the second round yesterday by 16 to Iowa.

I’ll be listening to the game tonight on my radio app.
