Assume it will depend on how long it drags out, but what will the fan reaction be? Would seem to me with the increase in popularity of the NFL and NBA. When avg Joe is paying $3.50+ for a gallon of gas, etc., hard to care about billionaires fighting with millionaires.

The way the game has been played the last 5-10 yrs, I don’t miss it at all. This coming from a guy that watched nearly every pitch of every Birds game 5+ yrs ago. If either side is smart enough to take a page from the other major sports and attempt to build some equity amongst the teams and improve their product, piss on them. The only thing they’re concerned with currently is their own sides monetary interests.

Same here, and I think that is a growing feeling. We got rid of charter last year, and the streaming stuff we have doesn't have fox sports midwest. Didn't miss it at all. For in person, the rising prices, don't like going downtown much anymore, strikeouts and the slow pace of the game has me just scanning the box scores the next day. Everyone has their theory, but my opinion is if they would call a bigger strike zone, players learn to hit the other way, and put the ball in play you would have a better product. None of which will probably happen.
