Mizzou

very sad state of affairs at Mizzou it use to be so cool with Norm Stewart great
basketball and then pickell with football. Then in basketball they hire the 3 stooges
Snyder Anderson and Haith one worse than the other. Odom good guy inherited a
mess. Mizzou freshmen enrollment all time low because of all the insanity that went
on. I will still be a fan but don't expect anything anymore.

Actually, Coach Mike Anderson was pretty good! He apparently just didn't want to stay at Mizzou because he applied for major D-1 job that came open.

Coach Anderson great guy but they played 0 defense. He had better players then anybody that
ever coached at Mizzou. If they could of guarded in stead of the full court press which I named
let the other team shoot layups defense they would of been incredible, same thing happening
at Ark.they don't guard anybody and they have been above average every year he has been there.

Got to catch the ball. Mizzou receivers have to step up. Defense played well.

Well lookiee there Kenny starting a mizzou bash thread. Whodathunkit?

Offense put up 462 yards on the road. Dumb turnover and penalty sunk them but they were still much improved from a year ago and will only get better.
Defense took away the deep ball and WVU made them pay by gashing the middle . They blocked the Dline and that's bothersome.
6 wins and liberty bowl which after the debacle of last year is a good start.

Sorry I made an observant post. Mizzou looked bad on both sides of the ball for the majority of that game. Much improved from a year ago???????

Wasn't WVU one of those teams that wasn't on par with MU? Hallow rankings etc.

Seems to be the case. When you have a RS Frosh starting at QB and first game of the year, ya never know.

But stupid penalties have killed them in the first half.

That and Kelly looks good. Scrambling for life he seems to find that hole.

Despite all of that. Still better than MU's offense
Another kenny attack on mizzou. Got mizzou on the brain son.

TON of mistakes(penalties and dropped ball at the goal line) in the first half. That was one of the craziest games I have seen in awhile. FSU is eerily similar to 2013(Key defensive returning starters, wr's etc.). Their offensive line needs a lot of work. But give credit where credit is due. That may be the best D-Line FSU faces all year.

I think Mizzou Basketball will win more but only because they play twice as many games. Either way you look at it, it doesn't look good.

Based on MU's schedule they should be able to find 6+ wins. They have 3 non conf games that should all be W's...South Carolina, Vanderbilt, and Kentucky all look terrible. Heck even Tenn looked beatable, LSU lost to a B1G team so that game doesn't look as tough and Arkansas squeaked one out against LA Tech.

Like it or not, those 3 coaches brought in NBA talent and competed for the most part. Haith did it the wrong way, but still brought them in. Anderson the same and Snyder is an NBA coach now. I would not classify them as the 3 stooges.

If you watched that game, and came away satisfied by the offense...you're a bigger honk than I thought. Which I previously thought was impossible.

Who said anything about satisfied. It's better than last year offensively.Sorry that UK puked all over themselves against a non Power 5 team.

Wait...This is a UK thread? Difference between you and I...I can admit UK played horribly in the 2nd half, and Stoops' D didn't hold up their end. You watch that game and somehow see progress on offense. Interesting.

How could you say the offense didn't look somewhat better than last year? Last year was beyond terrible and they actually moved the ball some on Saturday. Not scoring in the redzone brought back terrible memories from last year, overall a small improvement. But I thought Lock looked solid and he can make about all of the throws. Still too many dropped passes. If they didn't miss the field goals and would have scored in the redzone it would have been a much closer game. Defense didn't look like the normal Mizzou D.

It was progress. We haven't gained that many yards in two years.

You're conflating "progress" with "satisfaction."

Not sure about Lock just yet. To his credit, he did have several passes dropped that would have kept the drive alive at times. Offense just seemed to move better with the backup in. Maybe because he was the leading rusher. LOL

Relatively pedestrian Big XII defense vs. SEC defenses. Without digging through the 2015 stats, I don't remember WVU being that staunch on D. So sure, the numbers might appear better. But they still managed 11 points (3 when it actually mattered) against a team from the New WAC (c'mon, that made a couple of you giggle).

WVU had a terrible defense last year. Maybe they figured it out this year....................................................................................

They shot themselves in the foot several times, most notably 5 yards out. But they absolutely did move the ball.

Again, I don't think anyone is saying this was a good offensive game, but mizzou couldn't move the ball on anyone last year. They did this game. Those that say mizzou didn't show some improvement over last year either didn't watch the game or are trolling.

WVU had the big 12's 2nd best defense last year.
