Wrestling Completes Tentative 2014-15 Schedule
Tigers announce 2014-15 road and tournament slate to round out this season's schedule
The Tigers begin the 2014-15 season with a road trip to Ames, Iowa for the Cyclone Open

Oct. 10, 2014

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Entering their third season in the Mid-American Conference (MAC), Mizzou wrestling has completed their 2014-15 schedule as announced by head coach Brian Smith and Mizzou Athletics.

Coming off their third consecutive conference championship, Tiger Style wrestling kicks off their 2014-15 schedule with a road trip to Ames, Iowa for the Cyclone Open. The team's home opener on Nov. 15 is a doubleheader against Truman State and Missouri Baptist. The Tigers kick off conference play on Nov. 23 with a visit to Old Dominion.

On Nov. 29, Mizzou travels to Troy, N.Y. for the 12th annual Northeast Duals. The Tigers are set to square off against Hofstra, Oklahoma, Nassau Community College, and Purdue at the annual event. In early December, Mizzou faces tough back to back road tests with visits to Ohio on Dec. 13 and Ohio State on Dec. 14.

The Tigers only have one home match in December, but it is a big one as Kent State, South Dakota State and Southern Illinois all come to the Hearnes Center on Dec. 19.

Before hosting five duals in the month of January, Mizzou competes at the Southern Scuffle in Chattanooga, Tenn. from Jan. 1-2 and follow with a road dual at Cornell on Jan. 10. A streak of five consecutive home dual matches begins on Jan. 17 when MAC foe Central Michigan travels to Columbia, Mo. The Tigers then welcome North Carolina State to town the following day on Jan. 18 at 1:00 p.m.

Perennial NCAA powerhouse, Oklahoma State, makes their way to the Hearnes Center on Jan. 23 for a 6:30 p.m. evening showdown. Two days later on Jan. 25, Mizzou hosts another MAC opponent at 1:00 p.m. with Northern Illinois traveling to mid-Missouri. Northern Iowa rounds out the January home slate, as the two programs battle on Jan. 31.

Mizzou ends their 2014-15 MAC opponent matchups on Feb. 6 and Feb. 8 with road trips to Buffalo and Eastern Michigan, respectively.

Mizzou closes out this season's home schedule with the first round of 2015 National Duals. The Tigers and American University meet on Feb. 15 at the Hearnes Center. The National Duals finals take place on Feb. 22 in Iowa City, IA.

Postseason play will be close to the friendly confines of Columbia, Mo. this season for Mizzou, as the 2015 MAC Championships will be hosted at the Hearnes Center from March 7-8 and the 2015 NCAA Championships taking place in nearby St. Louis, Mo. from March 19-21.
