Cuons and his young Tigers had a rough night in Utah. Missouri was a 4.5 point underdog in their first road game of the season. It appears the Tigers were never in the game. Tilmon had 2 points and 2 rebounds. Jantay could not get his motor running.

It is difficult to play on the road in major college basketball unless you have superior athletes. It appears the Missouri Tigers are a work in progress but could see positive results as the season progresses. It appears there is work to be done in Columbia but good things are sometimes worth waiting for.

Las Vegas took a big hit on the Missouri-Utah tonight as the big better laid their money down on the home team.

It's really tough to evaluate them when their best player isn't playing.

Neutron, you are correct and one player can make a big difference. We must remember the AAU look good policies is not in force in college basketball. In AAU basketball, it is customary to make players look good and usually not challenge high flying dunks. The top college coaches do not believe in the look good thing and most likely will make a challenge therefore could force guys like the Porters, Tilmon and other to make adjustment. Some big AAU stars can make the adjustment faster then others depending on the athleticism of the players and the basketball IQ of the players. The jury may be still out on many of our top athletes playing major college basketball for the first time. Some people say the only good thing about a freshman is he will be a sophomore next year.

Michael Porter Jr.--6'10" and 215 Lbs. ( The basketball IQ may come into play to off set the weight disadvantage when playing against the stronger more athletic and more experienced players in the SEC.
