The No. 2 prospect in the Missouri Pre-Season Top Twenty
rankings may not be in the Show-Me State when the 2010 season kicks off.
Talented running back

Anthony Pierson
has been outstanding for Gateway Tech the past two
seasons, but could very well be playing for East St. Louis (IL) in August.

Pierson is 5-foot-11 inches tall and weighs 175-pounds.
A Rivals.com 4-star recruit, Pierson was listed in the Rivals250 an outstanding
honor with the elite players in the nation. With blazing 4.45 speed in the
40-yard dash, Pierson is also has proven to be elusive to opposing defenders as
he has helped the Jaguars into the playoffs each of the past two seasons.

As a sophomore Pierson opened many eyes as he rushed for
2,204-yards, 23 touchdowns, and averaged 12.5 yards-per-carry. As a junior in an
injury plagued season, Pierson rushed for 1,011 yards, 16 touchdowns, and
averaged 12.2 yards-per-carry.

Regardless of whether Pierson plays his final prep game in the
Show-Me State he has given a verbal commitment to play in Missouri for the
Tigers a key piece of the 2011 recruiting class for Gary Pinkel and his staff.

Pierson is set for a huge final season, the only question
remains will he lead Missouri or Illinois in rushing?
