I see this coming and so does the Liberty Bowl. The bowl reps of this bowl were on hand at the game today. They completely would love to see that matchup as well. Ticket sales, hype, tv all favors to set this matchup up. I honestly would be surprised if this doesn't happen.
If it were up to me the bowl would be the dollar tree bowl.

Give Venables another year we shall see. Usually takes 2-3 to rebuild after what just happened to the program. Incoming recruiting class still looks solid.
Mizzou administration is pushing for Vegas bowl. See what happens, but I think that is their preference.
I know each bowl has their own commitments set up before the season starts i.e., the dollar general bowl has to take the #4 pac 10 team and the #2 mac. There is some wiggle room, and hopefully Mizzou gets one within decent travel distance. Or Vegas!
That would be doable. What is the bowl in Memphis, Liberty?? That would be close for our beloved jayhawk fans.
If I’m Drink, I would prefer to not play KU. If you beat them what have you really accomplished? Not much. But if you lose? Oh no.
Beating kU has always been the accomplishment. MU hasn't had the pleasure of beating them for too long. They don't match up well, and Mizzou would win by 20+.
kU is not a middling program. They have had a decade of horrid football.
Sure outside of this year. Absolutely more so this year. That’s the year in question here lol. They are about .500. K state can make that even record worse. Trust me I don’t mind it. KU is insufferable.
