After two seasons former
St. Louis Ram Michael Jones has moved to college football where he will coach
linebackers at Southern University. Brian Simmons, who built
a 25-11 record at Cardinal Ritter the past three years has accepted the
Spartans top coaching position.
David Williams has been hired to lead the
Houston Tiger football program. Williams has a vast amount of experience in
the South Central Association having won district titles a four different
conference schools, Cabool, Liberty, Mountain Grove, and Ava.
Former Macon all-state linebacker and Truman St. Bulldog
Alex VanDelft has been named to replace Steve Ramer at Knox County.
Neosho didn't waste time filling Flannigan's vacant position
naming the Wildcats' offensive coordinator Jared Schoonover as
their next head football coach.
Recently an assistant coach at Sikeston, Brett
Blackman has been named the head football coach at Charleston High
School. Blackman led East Prairie in 2003 to a 4-5 record.
Luke Rader, an assistant at Lockwood the past
five seasons has been named head coach at Sarcoxie.
Brandon Gregory, an assistant during
Maplewood's recent playoff runs will take over for head coach David Harris who
is moving into administration at Maplewood.

Carl Junction-- Jesse Wall, the
former Joplin head coach will lead the Bulldog football program.
Bret Gosch resigned
from his position at the request of the administration.
“The biggest thing I want the kids to understand is that I
did not quit,” Gosch said to the Joplin Globe. “I did not quit on them. “I
would have gone down fighting for the program because I believe that you
just keep trying.” In six seasons Gosch built a 30-30 record leading
the Bulldog football program, including a shared Big 8 Conference title in
2007.
Cardinal Ritter:
Charleston -- Recently an assistant
coach at Sikeston, Brett Blackman has been named the head
football coach at Charleston High School. Blackman led East Prairie in
2003 to a 4-5 record.
Jeremy Helton has
stepped down as the Bluejays head football coach. This season
Charleston finished with a 1-9 record in Helton's first year on the job.
Clinton: Chris Smoot has accepted the
Cardinals top position.
East Newton-- Bobby Bishop moves
from Arkansas to take the Patriots top spot.
El Dorado Springs -- Bob Ramsey,
veteran head coach takes the top position with the Bulldogs.
Recently the
El Dorado Springs school board voted not to retain head coach Chad
Depee as head football coach.
Excelsior Springs: With the retirement of
Sam Brown, Andy Sims will move from his post as an
assistant Liberty to take over the top Tiger football position.
Hazelwood East:

Highland-- Lewis County C-1 Schools
- Highland High School is currently taking applications for Head Varsity
Football Coach and Assistant Athletic Director. Other duties may include
Health, summer weight lifting and possible weight lifting classes. Highland
is seeking a highly motivated individual that has the ability to take
Highland Football to the next level. HHS is a school of 315 students and a

Kirkwood--
Matt Irvin who guided MICDS to a pair of state champions
has returned to the Show-Me State and will take over the Kirkwood
football program.
Following a very successful tenure at Kirkwood High
School, including a trip to the 2006 Show-Me Bowl Larry Frost
has resigned from his head coaching position. Frost retired as a
teacher following the 06-07 school year.
Knob Noster-- Matt Sullivan has
been named the Panthers new head football coach. Sullivan has earned
valuable experience as an assistant at William Chrisman, Ruskin, and most
recently at Richmond in the MRVC. An all-conference performer at
Central Missouri, Sullivan played in the Arena Football League prior to
entering his coaching career.
Knox County: Former Macon all-state
linebacker and Truman St. Bulldog Alex VanDelft has been
named to replace Steve Ramer at Knox County.
Ramer resigned from his position to take
the top spot at Sutton, Nebraska.
LeBlond (St. Joseph) -- Tony Dudik, the
long time mentor at Central (St. Joe) has been named as the new Leblond head
football coach.
Lee's Summit-- Former Cameron
head coach and current Hickman (Columbia) coordinator Eric Thomas has been
named the new Tiger head football coach.
Liberty North-- Interview process
complete. New high school in Suburban KC will debut in 2010.
Malden-- The Green Wave have announced
Mountain Grove offensive coordinator Joel Wyatt as their
new head football coach. He replaces Gary Blaylock who resigned
following the 2010 season.
Marionville: Bill Voorhis earns his first
head coaching position taking over the Comet football program.
Marshall-- Paul Eilers
spent three seasons as the head coach at Albany High School and the past
four on staff at Northwest Missouri State. Eilers becomes just the
fourth head coach in 50 seasons of Owls football.
Head coach Paul Thomas did not have his
coaching contract renewed after 10 years leading the Owls football program.
Maplewood-- Brandon Gregory,
an assistant during Maplewood's recent playoff runs will take over for head
coach David Harris who is moving into administration at Maplewood.
McDonald County-- Chris Gwartney
moves from his defensive coordinator position to the head coaching title
with the Mustangs.
Sean Price
was asked to step down following a two-year stint as the Mustangs head
football coach. During that span the team finished with a 2-18 mark.
Monett-- Chad Depee moves from El
Dorado Springs to take the top position in the Cubs football program.
Montgomery County-- John Klekamp

head coach at Rogers (Arkansas) High School.
North Shelby: Following his forth season at North Shelby
head coach Terry Ahern has stepped down. Ahern built
an 18-24 mark including a district title in 2008.
Odessa-- Daniel Joiner who served as an
assistant coach at Park Hill South will take over the Bulldog football
program.

Putnam County--The Putnam County R-I
School District is seeking a head football coach for the 2010-2011 school
year. Responsibilities include the overall operations and development of the
football program for grades 7-12. Active cooperation with the 5-6 grade
program and active involvement with parents and community civic
organizations are a requirement. Other teaching and coaching duties may be
assigned (e.g. summer weightlifting program). This position may be combined
with the Activities Director position also open for the 2010-11 school year.
The AD position carries the responsibilities of overseeing the district's
athletic program as well as activities of extracurricular clubs and
organizations. Applicants must possess a valid Missouri teaching

leading the Bear football program. Kamance will serve as assistant principal
and athletic director at Sarcoxie.

St. Clair-- Cody McDowell who has
served as the offensive coordinator of the Bulldog football program has been
named the head football coach.
St. Mary's Independence-- Jeff Lynch
St. Joseph Central -- Jeff Wallace,
Central alum Wallace takes the top position with the Indians. Formerly
the head coach at South Harrison, Kirksville, and Boonville.
Sweet Springs--
Troy-- Par Pitts who had
a very successful tenure at Palmyra, leaves after a short stay in Odessa and
will be the next head football coach of the Troy Trojans.
Truman--The Truman Patriots have
announced their new football coach following a 2-8 campaign in the 2009
season. Jeff Floyd long time assistant at the University of Central
Missouri has been named to replace Craig Lewis.
University City--
Warrensburg: Central Missouri assistant
football coach Scott Grinde has been tapped as the next
head coach of the Tigers. A 25-year coaching veteran, Grinde has a vast
array coaching in college at several different levels, and in high school
where he was a head coach at Sheridan (Wyoming) High School.
West Plains-- Long time Marshfield
head coach Jack Randoph has taken the top position with the
Zizzors.
