Marionville has their qb back who has missed most the year. He is a very good player. Had probably 90% of their yards. Miller has become pretty stagnant on offense.
That QB is a nice player!
I don't think Miller has gone stagnant as much as they learned bad technique in the early weak schedule. They get a convoy of blockers who run past defenders instead of blocking thinking their block is downfield but the better defenders need to be blocked earlier in the play now. They throw long on 3rd and 6 because that was successful earlier. They have also been penalized a LOT in key places.
I wasn't discouraged last night because I thought Marionville looked much better than advertised (QB could explain that) yet Miller battled as much as i've seen all year. They do need to make the adjustments to the level of play from here out though.
Jasper has been decimated by Major injuries. We have 2 kids having knee surgery in the next week. Had a kid last night taken away in the ambulance on a backboard with what looks like a major injury we've lost 6-7 kids for the year. 1 being our RB/DL our Stud OL/DL Tore his whole knee up. Our strength was our depth and we've lost five or six starters for the year. Sucks to be honest but what can you do ?

Hate to hear that.
Smaller schools just can't absorb those kinds of losses.

Agreed. I think coaching played a part in it too. Jamie is a knowledgeable man with a football mind. Switching up defense the second half halted Marionville’s momentum. Will be good to see if that experience can pull another win.

Nope, it eliminated 8-man. Still (and always will be) have weak teams. Miller played them all at the start of the season.
Are you saying every team Miller played was weak? I need your definition of weak. Do you have to be a state title contender to not be weak?
Sarcoxie isn't weak. Pierce City isn't weak. Marionville isn't weak. Lockwood is down from last year but isn't weak. Strafford isn't weak. I would classify Pleasant Hope, Ash Grove, Diamond, and Stockton as weak teams THIS year.

I havent seen all the whateveritscalledthisvotingcycle conference teams . i do know that skyline is 2nd seed and they lost to eldo. We all know eldo is weak because they lost to the wemo runner up. Surely miller will destroy skyline
