Miller vs Ash Grove

I have watched basketball for a lot of years and I have never seen officiating as bad as it was tonight. It was 2 woman officials an 1 was probably early 20’s and scared to death to blow her whistle. The other was just awful. 2 of our best players sit more than they played cause of foul trouble. That is what it is. The thing I had a problem with was the young official never started any 5 counts and seemed to not know the rules of basketball. Ash Groves big girl never left the lane. I counted 1 time and she stayed underneath the basketball 10 straight seconds. The kicker came at the end of the game. Miller had a 3 point lead and Hadlock was dribbling out the clock and was fouled with 1 second left she had her hands wrapped around the ball protecting it and turned around with no elbows out and an Ash Grove girl flopped down and the official came running in and called a technical on her with 1 second left. Luckily she hit her free throws but Ash Grove missed one of theirs or they would of had a chance to tie. Worst call I have ever seen. It could of cost them the game.

I’ve seen some bad officiating this year as well. I’ve also seen a lot of new refs. Maybe the shouldn’t put 2 newer refs together.

I know there are weak crews out there but this was just beyond anything I have seen. I just don’t understand why you would send out your worst crew to a big game where 2 good teams are playing to decide a conference championship.

Maybe they were late replacement for the ones that should have been there. It's that kind of year.

Wasnt long ago they were begging for help so maybe they just dont have enough great officials and the ones that are were at dif “big games”
