The Ozone called this an upset. Thayer may have been ranked lower but their conference schedule looks to be much tougher than Millers. On the recap video both teams looked very athletic. How many interceptions?

Thayer is much better than Miller. They play in the SCA. A bigger tougher conference. Thayer plays a great sheduale every year. They don’t make it to state often. But? They are battle tested and win districts about every year at least.

Don't know about the upset part. Thayer just executes what they do very well. I think there were 2 ints. each way. Once Thayer got a little lead and Millers QB went out, the passing game didn't work well. Thayers QB could be a bigger part of their game if needed.

Does Miller have a ton coming back? PC does and next year may be their best shot of breaking this district championship hurdle.

hopefully we can. with only winning 6 games in the last 3 years (combined) this year was a lot of fun for this old man.. enjoyed every minute of each game win or lose. the kids bought into what Jamie was doing and was a team effort..

Pierce City has had a good 2 year run (21-0 against teams not named Thayer). Look to keep it going as we're losing 1 senior. I didn't feel we were as good this year as last, and some of the proof in that would be the Thayer scores. 42-7 this year in a game that was over at halftime, and last season 14-0 when the Bobcats scored on their first possession and their last. In between was a pretty good football game.

Miller has 6 seniors with a couple playing and impacting both ways. Mostly Junior and Soph. team. Next year has always been the target year. If they pick up where they left off in the motivation parts of the game and continue the off season work, should be a real threat to make noise. Looks like most teams are trending up next year though so, could be a slugfest year.
